MTV - The Hills Emoticlips

When you care enough to say he’s a sucky person. To promote the Season 2 DVD release of The Hills, we created emotional sentiments in the form of sharable video clips from the show. We dubbed these sentiments, “EmotiClips.” We placed the videos on YouTube and Veoh for easy sharing. Then, we informed a number of fanblogs about their existence. This led to an intial steady growth in views. But within the first few days, through our PR efforts, E! Online and USMagazine.com created feature stories about the clips which led to a sharp spike of 250,00 views. Since that spike, views have continued to climb at a steady, viral pace.
